I am just curious how many of ya'll got noise pollution tickets bumping your system? I have had three already within the past 2 years. The cops now in my town have let off a little. Now, they just flash their lights at me to notify me that it is too loud. Of course, it can never be too loud. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Oh, and each of my tickets were $48.

Sometimes if the cops know you have a system, they'll pull you over even if it's not turned up. Afterall, it comes down to his word against yours. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I have received 1 ticket for noise. It was a $20 ticket. Bad thing was, I had to appear in court in front of a judge. It's weird to me that a small thing such as a noise violation requires a court appearance. But a speeding ticket (which is a lot more dangerous) doesn't require a court appearance.

That's our justice system. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

PBA cards? I thought they had them in all states. It stands for Police Benevolent Association. Basically police officers can give them out to friends and family or whoever and sign the back. When you get pulled over you show the cop your PBA cards and they generally ask how you know the person who signed the card and blah blah blah. And generally they let you go unless you were doing something really bad. Generally they take the PBA card from you and give it back to the officer with your name and why they pulled you over so you can answer to them personally. They have never taken mine because I do not drive in residential areas or late at night with my system up loud. They just like to hassle me cause I have a fast car and some thump from the trunk.

o wow, ive never heard of a PBA card... I was going 50 in a 35 and got off, he just told me he likes to keep it a nice community... Cops around here arnt to bad.. You guys think having like an NSPL or dBDRAG membership card would wave some tickets becuase you were "tweaking" ur system for competition? hmm..

Why in the hell would a responsible police officer give out cards that allow someone to get away with committing a crime! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

That's the stupidest thing I have ever heard of! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Depends on the cop I guess. If they hate people with systems then probably not. Out here in NJ all cops have something in their cars. Most buy at least an upgraded head unit for their police cruisers so they're a little more understanding.

I just think it's messed up that they can ticket me for having a radio even when it's not louder than a truck next to me or my neighbors lawn mower. Especially when I don't even have it on in residential areas.

I thought all states had these... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif That's wierd. I know NY does.

It can't get you out of something serious... usually. And it's more of a protect your own. Out here becoming a police officer is more of a who you know thing. My uncle didn't know anyone who could get him a job in Jersey so he had to commute an hour to work in the Bronx for 10 years.

Since it's such a tight organization they look out for each other and their families. It is messed up, but NJ has the highest insurance rates and one of the most BS auto insurance laws in the country. If we get this, at least its something. We still pay more than most places including all your fines and tickets. When I started driving I was using my mother's ten year old lumina as a second-temp driver and to insure me it was over $2,500. I don't see how PBA card members getting out of a $20 noise voilation ticket is something special. Especially since they take it away from you when you get pulled over. Sometimes they ticket you anyway and even take your card from you. The cops are only allowed so many cards per year as well so it's not like they're all over the place. It's just enough for their family and close friends. Hell, my uncle is a cop and I've never gotten a PBA card from him because he never has enough to cover our family.

I get an annaul parking tickets because my car isn't parked 25 feet from the stop sign at the corner of my house... Those are $72 fines I think.

We have PBA cards here...you can get out of little things, but you aren't gonna get away with going 50 mph over the speed limit because your brothers best friends uncles neighbors cousin's stepdad is a cop...

Even worse is the fact that you mainly get pulled over because of the type of music you listen to.

It was funny as hell when I got my ticket. It was 10:30am and I didn't want to get a parking ticket so I was going to drive around until noon when it would be legal for me to park where I needed to. My ticket ended up costing me $120. The cop was hiding behind a tree on the sidewalk?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif Never seen one there before or since. The parking ticket would have cost me $25, so you do the math.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Another little quirk to it was I had JUST rolled down my windows like 5 seconds before I passed him. I had gotten out of the city and residential part of the road and thought I was all clear.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif

I don't see a problem with PBA cards, though I've never heard of them before. Its at the cops discretion as to whom they give the cards to, and up to the arresting officer as to whom and for what he accepts the cards for.
