How many miles should a crotch rocket have to be considered as "old"as in really used

Yeah I will see it in person on 22nd.. and should be able to ride it for a bit..

and hopefully it rides good.. what kind of difference would it make if it was a stunt sprocket or a regular one?

20K old?? worn out?? LMAO! Sold my bike with 30K on it and it was showroom clean and purred (rumbled) like a kitten...
As for the gixxer youre looking at, Id pass if you cant see it in person. If you can see it in person, take it for a ride and look for any slipping clutches, front end shakes (you shopuld be able to let go of the bars at about 20mph (if you are a competant rider) and the bike should continue to travel straight. As for the sprocket being a syunter sprocket.. Yes, it looks big, but not huge. If the speed sensor is ties into the ******, then the speedo will be off.
ive seen bikes at 60k. but that dont mean erry bike will. Id have patients and find something around 10k miles in the early 2000.

^^ lol I am not like that for sure..

I m still pretty new so no need for me to be a "show-off" ha..

I like to ride bikes and always have wanted a crotch..

So should I get this bike for $2,700? yes or no?

It is been growing on me so I pretty much really want this bike.. the seller sounds really cool too, hes like yeah sure I ll ride it over to your place to give you an idea of what is it like in person and all that..

I guess I ll just find out on 22nd..

Also, my bro bought a customized suzuki cruiser for 14k and it is close to 17k right now, but runs like new.. sounds awesome as well..

Hmm, i m pretty much torn since none of the bikes I would want (that is pretty new and all that) sits in my budget..

This is the only bike that I really like and fits in my budget you know.. so I guess maybe I ll have to be willing to shell out a bit.. I always have wanted a gsxr600 also and I really like the scheme on this bike..

I was looking at a gsxr750 near my home but the guy was asking 6k for it.. I dont want to shell out 6k at this moment.. and 750 might be too much idk.. but anyway it was out of the picture.. I kept looking until I found this one..

It doesn't matter whether you are if you are wondering about it's current condition.

20k is an average amount for that year. Mileage on bikes is not as big a factor as maintenance and off season storage. If it was kept in doors, and on jacks over the winter. if intake and exhaust were covered, flogging oil in the cylinders etc.

The bike you have picutred is a $1500-$2200 bike depending on the upkeep. Best advice I can offer is to look at the tires, this will tell you alot about how it was stored and ridden. If the tires are dry rotted and cracked then it was most likely parked in the off season with very little prep work. Have it inspected by a local motorcycle mechanic, he will be able to look for the tale tells of the incidental repairs (forks, brakes, drive wear) that will add up and make or break your deal.

^^ true, but I dont want to shell some more money out for a mechanic to inspect it..

But I ll use your tips to determine if the bike is been maintained properly and whether it is been garaged or not..

Thanks for the advices..

I sure the hell wouldnt pay that much... but thats me. I bought this bike for 2100. its a 2001 gsxr 600. had 12k miles and just needd a new owner since i really dont like to ride pink bikes lol
