how many grounds and where to ground

I'm doing my big 3, i went from the battery to chassis, battery to engine block. is this all that is needed for a solid ground?

Typically people go from engine block to chassis, but you shouldn't have a problem with what you did.

It is, but there are rubber spacers in between.

It matters more if you ground your amps/batts to your chassis. means very little if you ground your amps to the batts, and the batts are well grounded to the block/alt casing.

Nah, not true...I found out the hard way when I was doing my big 3. I had the ground done for my engine block but not the chassis, and the power wire touched the chassis and it sparked.

I guess it depends on how well the engine is isolated. I mean there are still bolts in there, so it's very possible you would get that.

i didnt even do a 0 gauge ground to my block. there isnt a spot i can use without it getting hot.

If it gets hot that means either A. you arent securing the terminal tight enough or B. you didnt sand it down enough

Does this mean you do a jump from engine block negative ground to chassis?
