how many battery's can my stock 105amp GM alt charge without killing it. And i was wondering why you need to run a negative cable form your front bat to your rear bat and not just ground to the chasy??

Personally i was wondering this too, and I usually just find a good ground somewhere in the back, i fugure the shorter the ground run the better.
