How many batteries for 4000 watts

Im setting up a system with 3000 watts to the subs and another 1000 watts to the front stage.... 2-2400's and a dedicated 260amp alt here.

when I'm looking at a bettery what should I mainly be looking at....the amperage rating on them....if so then about how many should I need. I'm thinking 2 of the big mofo's or 4 of the 70's

Yellow top up front, HO alt and 2 of the Hawkers, powermasters d3100 or kinetik 2400 and you should be fine. especially at 2ohms.

Well you gotta remember you need more 1/0 wire for every battery you add too.

yeah I have been thinking bout wire too...prolly go with some knokoncepts...60 feet if I am lucky...

..Do you think a run of pos/neg from the main battery will be enough, or should I go 2 runs, and do I have to make the ground that long also

I've seen welding wire...but don't want to co chincy on anything. What do you think I will need, thanks guys.

If it were my set up, considering the amp has two sets of pos. and neg. terminals, I would do two runs of 1/0 with 200 amp fusing on each pos. run.

co chinky? I have 3/0 Gauge welding wire and it looks and feels alot like audio wire. I mean 99% ofc coper wire is 99% ofc coper wire...as long as its not tinned you will be fine

A Run of each then....do you think the neg has to be ran all the way from the front, or can I just ground it at the chassy and save myself 30'.

My bad man...I meant go chincy...like go a cheap way, but if it will still dot he same job then I will do it, don't want to sacrifice anything really
