I have a memphis mojo 16-MC2000d rated at 2000@2 ohmat 13.8v or 2400@2 ohm 15.5v. How big of an alternator I would need? I have a 130 A Alternator. How many batteries? and is it possible to have 16v going into the amp? Oh and I will be pushing 2 kicker l5 15 inch. Help is appreciated thx

the only way to get 16 volt runing into the amp is to install a second alternator/battery setup JUST for the amp.

That high of a voltage would more then likely fry the rest of your vehicle electronics.

as for amperage you owudl need

2000/13.8 = 144.92 amps

What if i add the 2nd batteriy(which isnt installed). Can I just keep that alternator so i dont have to buy one?
If the alternator is already having a tough time, a second battery will only make it worse. You need to upgrade the alternator and then add a second battery if necessary.

200a woudl do the trick...but to be honest with you man that amp at full tilt will blow those subs if you're not conservative with your gains and keep them low....and if you do that then you wont be getting the full poential out of your amp. if you have a 130amp alt you should be ok with an upgraded battery (gel cell or deep cycle) IF you just run thsoe 2 subs...if you ever upgrade your subs and wanna run tha amp at full tilt you'd definitly need an alt upgrade and at leats an upgraded battery or 2.... but for now with th L5's you'll be fine with those svr batteries

Aight Thx man, well I have a question I have the subs lowered to a 2ohm (there 4OHMS DVC) each and since the amp is a mono with 2 sets of channels should i hook them up 1 to each channel at 2 ohms(or 4OHMS?) or hook them together for a total 2 ohm load with both hooked up to only one channel? Kinna comfused how to hook them up

I had them at a 4 ohm load but they sound weak but when i tried them at 2 ohms each one to each terminal it was louder. I hasent turned off in high volumes so far can I leave it at this? Oh and I think this amp is internally bridge

each terminal at 2ohms means the amp is seing a 1ohm load, i dont know if those amps can handle that or not for daily, if you want to try go for it, but in this summer heat it might not be a good idea

so if i have them at at 8 ohms( I think) ohms each , 1 on each channel what load will it see?

Adjustable voltage regulator won't do the trick? I mean just to turn it up to 16v for burps and such.
