how many amps can the remote out on your HU..

Remote doesn't draw much current at all, but it depends on the head unit how many amps it can turn on before bad things start to happen. Can always throw a relay in just to be on the safe side //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Using a standard spst relay wire like so

87 - 12volts constant

86 - turn on lead from head unit

86 - ground

30 - remote out to amps

Like someone else said, it depends on the brand/model of h/u. Contact the manufacturer specifically if knowing is a necessity. But if in doubt, just add a 2 dollar bosch relay, as was also suggested earlier. To sum up, I have nothing new to add to the thread here, but repeating for truth.
