How secure is your car battery?

I'm replacing my stock car battery with a D34 yellow top and when I took out my stock battery, the bottom just has a flat surface thing that's not even screwed down to anything.

Is that ok if I just put my yellow top battery on top?

The battery itself was held down by a bracket going over the middle of the battery that's bolted down.

Thoughts?

Actually the flat thing i was talking about had two round slots that went into these two holes so I think it will stay in place. The only bad thing is that the yellow top is a little smaller than the square stock battery that i had.

But, this battery is 47 lbs, do you guys think it will be fine once i Put the battery on top and bracket the top down?

are you putting the battery strap back on it like the stock one was? if so then yes, its fine. if you are just setting the battery on top of the tray and thats it, no.

with mine, honda civic, i know the tray sits in a groove so it wont slide back and forth and then the strap holds the batt down.

as long as when you tighten that strap it doesnt move, ur fine.

This yellow top comes with a height adapter and I'm putting the height adapter ontop of the stock plastic thing. I also used the stock bracket thing that goes across the battery and that thing seems to hold it down pretty well (doesn't fit perfectly but it will hold).

However, I got a new problem. I'm going to start a new thread for this new problem.

Thank you for the advice so far guys!
