how many amps can i turn on using my player's remote?

im at the moment using it to switch on 2 old skool alpine v12 amps (mrv-f407 and mrv-1000)... the player is an alpine cda-9815 with remote rated at 0,3A max...

any problem with it?

what's the limit of amplifiers i can use directly on my remote to turn them on?

I turn on 3 devices with mine, and at one point I was using it to power 2 LEDs that are on my subs

But use a relay and you can turn on as many as you wnat

For two components (two amps, one amp & one EQ, etc), a relay typically isn't needed.

For more than two, it's generally a good idea to use a relay as you are starting to push the envelope of what the REM output is capable of supporting

Or u can use a switch that uses the power input as the "remote" turn on signal.

So really u wire from remote to power, and inbetween place a switch.

Depends entirely on the amps. The remote current is usually in the spec sheet... add them up and see what the total is. A Bosch relay will draw 160 milliamps, so you gotta compare that against the amps' combined remote needs. Most new amps draw only 10-15 milliamps remote and you can run a bunch of them without a relay. Some of the "old skool" amps draw over 300 ma each so even one of them is risky.

I've turned on 4 devices NUMEROUS times.

3 amps+ Eclipse BLA, and at another time 4 amps. All it has to do is trigger the device to turn on...I have never had a single problem.
