How long should it take a qualified installer to.....

You know, I thought the same thing, but most don't have websites and if they do, the sites ****. As far as I know the one I went to doesn't have a website.

i just went on ebay and ikessound had the amp and found a few other stores on there with the coax and the comps i didnt find that sub but found alot similar to it with a alpine box inlcude, total with out the sub shipping I came up with about 450.

Thats just insane!!I`m glad around here,if you buy from them, they install for free. When i got my D300 installed,I dropped my ride off friday, and started saturday and finished sunday and they arent even open on sundays.just to say, i gave him one good tip though.

Are these reliable stores, with new products that are warranted?

I just know this day in age with the net alot of shops do have websites and that is the way I lean towards because if you are going to invest alot of money you do not want to waste it.

Pictures speak for themselves.I am going to do my install based on pictures I saw from that particular shop.Do not base everything on the websites but the 90 to 125 hour is way to expensive.

I have no idea what you are saying. Are you questioning their ability? They know what they are doing. They were working on a rap star's Escalade when I was there. The work they do is great. Not all businesses have websites, although I agree they should.

Maybe I said it wrong, I am not saying about a person ability and your right not everybody does have a website but I see a good job by pictures that installer has.Every shop should have pictures and if they do not have very many than that speaks for themselves.

The only thing I say about websites with pictures it just makes things a little easier for you to decide if that is the shop you want to go to.

I already told you that I have witnessed the quality of their work. That is not an issue. I am simply asking how long a job like this should take and/or how much it should cost?

ikesound has a horrible rating on reseller ratings, and you get no wanranty with the product except through them, not alpine.

Where I bought my stuff from, it was cheap. It was $40 to install the headunit, $50 for my components, $40 for my coaxials and $15 each for 2 amps and 2 subs total of $60. Thats $190. This is Canadian price. But I never got them to install it. I did it myself and saved $190. Thats what their prices were. Thats probably about $150 US price.

if warranty is that big of an issue, just shell out the money and stop bugging ppl here. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

in my area, i think the going rate is about 75 - 100/hr depending on the skill of the shop.

Ok, so your rates are in line with mine, especially when you consider I am in NYC. I would think warranty should be an issue, what is the point of saving some dough, when the gear isn't cover 2 months after you buy it? If my amp dies and I buy it at ikesound I am screwed...is that worth the extra cash saving? I suppose if you could find it for %50 off it would be, then if it died you could buy a new one. I figure that if it cost $1500 total, then they are factoring in about 5 hrs labor which seems to be the norm here. I guess it isn't that bad. Everything here costs more. I pay $350 a month just to park the car, and that is CHEAP.
