How hard is it to install a new dustcap??

I have to have the dustcap replaced on my new treos that were damaged in shipping. i was just going to take it to a shop and have them do it, but if its not so hard i would rather do it myself. anybody have some steps or tips for this? thanks

i guess removing a dust cap is a bit harder to keep it clean then putting one in, right?

put glue on, place dustcap on cone, put weight on it, let it dry.

it doesnt take the head cashier at walmart to figure it out.

I guess an exacto knife will be good to slice it off. any particular glue to use so i wont blow the cap off in 2 weeks?

Loctite Superglue or a good epoxy

hey thanks. i got the dustcap today and its bigger than the one that is on the sub now. hopefully it will still fit ok because now i have to glue it on a larger part of the sub and try to get it to fit flush.

just take a razor blade, and cut around the cap at teh glue point, untill you can pull it up enough to pull it off.
