How do you guys with BIG systems tolerate it

I hardly ever turn it up full tilt....150 legal at the moment.....its not fun after youve done it.

I prolly leave the bass aroung 140-142ish if im driving around....but i do like being able to get up higher when im feeling frisky

But it does just give you a headache all the time full tilt....not fun

you are in the wrong hobby if you dont like loud music, if you have too much treble it will hurt my head but i have mine tuned just right to where it gets loud but doesnt hurt.

I have 2 10's in a hatch and at 3/4 I can only take maybe 2 songs and its mild compared to what some of you guys have..4 12's,,2 15's or 18's **** If used for competing I understand but daily use how? Even with my mild setup after 10 minutes at full tilt I have a headache.

i have a single 15" in a small(2cuft) sealed box with 800 watts and it is more than enough for me. i am considering going back to a single 10" but it really wouldnt save me much room anyway

I mostly listen to am radio or mellow music during my daily commute. I do crank it up once in a while to blow the dust off the speakers...

My last daily ride had 24 15s that were creeping up on 160 playing music (see links in sig) and that wasnt loud enough for me.

you get use to it. i remember my first system gave me headaches but you get over it. that was nothing compared to now and i can listen for about 15mins now before i get feeling bad

I agree with the upgrade itch.

I've only gone through 3 systems in about 3 years. I wish I had the money to do upgrades and fixes as often as I command, but my finances are very tight and I must research wisely before making another move.

My first one was a single 12" Eclipse off roughly 220w and I thought that was loud. I bet if I had that TL'ed it wouldn't have even broke mid 30's.

Second, I added the same sub, running 2 12"s in a little over 4^3 @ 42-43Hz with about 480w and 6" flared aero. I thought there was no way I'm gonna want and upgrade. That broke low 40's and I wanted more.

3rd, ran 2 type E's in 2.5cubed sealed for about 2 weeks, then sold it to my buddy. Now I'm back to my Eclipses until I hit up some AQ's.
