So i have a Hifonics Brutus amp BXI2006D

its a mono amp and at 2ohm pushes 1300watts

(since its mono it splits 1300 evenly into two subs right? so 650watts each?)

but it has two (-) and two (+) slots like a 2channel amp

i also have 2 12" Alpine type Rs - 1800watts peak / 600 watts RMS 2ohms

soo how do i wire the Subs at 2ohms to my brutus amp? Should i use all 4 slots on the amp to make it easier or stick with 2?

help me please!

noob at wiring

On each of the subs, connect one pair of +/- (wires one coil into series so now the sub acts as a 4 ohm). then wire the remaining coils to the 2 terminals on your amp. that'll wire them down in parallel back to 2 ohms

Thanks man thats what i was thinking, connecte the +/- from one coil to the other right?

BUT

what i thought was that you can only go down in impedance and not up? like with my subs you can only go from 2ohms to 1ohm but not 2ohms to 4ohms.

any thoughts on that?
