how do I set time alignment?

Im running a passive setup with a headunit with time alignment. Is it correct to measure from speaker to about driver headrest and use that measurement?

thats what i did, some say u measure from the drive (woofer) to the furthest drive (usually the sub) and then from furthest driver (sub) to driver headrest then subtract the 2 numbers, mine didn't sound good to me, so i just did from driver (woofer) to driver headrest
