Do I just put a huge sheet of deadener over the huge gap? Is it that easy? lol

thats not bad.. because atleast you have acess to the outer skin.. if you want to do it right. i would say do as much of the outer skin as you can. if you know what you're doing, take the window motor and all that stuff out so you can cover the whole door. then follow the instructions ^ said. you cover the whole gap/hole with sheet metal and then do the whole door!!

That's a miserable door. The upside is that you should be able to get good access to the the outer skin. Covering access holes with deadener isn't a great plan to start with. In your case I'd be willing to bet it will interfere with the door's function and will probably also make it impossible to bet the trim panel back on. What does the back of the trim panel look like? Your best solution is probably going to involve adding vibration damper to what inner skin there is and building up the trim panel

What do I do to this now? I'm not going to sheet metal the door, Just deaden the outer skin.
Not as much there as I expected //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I'd add some vibration damper and line the trim panel with CCF and MLV.

And find some mids that work well IB.
Why bother? He's already said he isn't going to close the hole with sheet metal, which means front and rear sound waves will not be kept separated. IB will ****. Of course, Im sure he wont be willing to build sealed/AP enclosures either, so meh, he's bound to have lousy midbass.
