How are Hifonics?

ahhh:banghead: 2ohm DVC
get the ap3000. also who ever said all maxxonics is crap, really? i have had different amps, mm1000, mb quart discus, etc and never had a single problem out of them. oh i clamped my discus and did close to 1500 watts at 1.91 ohms

I have been beating the heck out of my Hifonics amp for years with no problem. This thread has more lovers and haters of the amps than almost any other amp-sub brand. I would suggest checking out different amp brands personally and make your own informed decision. I have a Hifonics, would I like a more expensive brand, maybe. can you win competitions with a Hifonics,

I did. A couple hundred watts will not make a huge difference when your already up to 2500 watts. The biggest variable in your system that will make all the difference is your sub enclosure. That's whats gonna make it or break it.

I'll put it this way and i'm sure many people will agree with this statement-
For every brand name Maxxsonics owns, the equipment is 100% crap..

Why?

Because after Maxxsonics takes over a company.. that's the end of that brand name...

Sad but true....

And then Maxxsonics is going to get rid of the XXV line because apparently anything over 3,000w is unneeded, lol...

Their marketing department needs to be fired.
your a vendor spitting out false info.

stop talking

IMO they are dropping that line because their antiquated class D technology is inadequate to drive more than 2KW with any reliability and all their bigger stuff is prone to randomly blowing itself up.

They are low priced for a reason.

I would think that them now being CEA-2006 certified the power should be pretty close as long as you have the ability to power them. I had a HIFONICS ZXi 80.4 Zeus Series 4CH AMP and it has been really clean and clear. I opted to go to a HIFONICS ZXi 150.4 4CH AMP because I got a good deal on it, and even though I have not fired it up, I do not think I would have any problems with it or I would not have put the money out for it.

CEA certified has no meaning to it.

best bang for the buck going when ya consider whats available.

better amps of course are out there but... not at the same price....

worse are also available... some are even more$$...

$ for $ Hifonics BRZ are a solid amp...they do rated + at an attractive price and with PROPER electrical have very few issues if any...

Only know what I hear. I've only ever used one brutus, seemed ok didn't exactly impress me, but didn't exactly dissapoint me either. I gess I never liked them or hated them they are an OK budget amp.
