How are Hifonics?

everyone says maxxonics amp are shit and they blow ya da da. i have seen sundown, aq, massive,etc amps blow. most of the time anything will blow due to user error. not proper electrical, to low of a ohm, etc will damage any amp, don't care what brand. been looking at getting a aq2200, but the price is almost 500 bucks now for it. i can get the brz 2100 for around 300 that does the same power basically. hmmmm now back to beer drinking

you can get a 2200 for around 300 on here bro... and i would take the build quality of that over maxxsonics anyday (not saying "all maxxsonics is crap, blah blah", but you get what i'm saying)

the qline is a great line

the xovers in them are a cut above what most amps employ...including SAz AQ DD etc...

the only downside to MBQ amps is they are not high voltage.. so nothing above 15 volts...they are an SQ amp so to speak...

you can get a 2200 for around 300 on here bro... and i would take the build quality of that over maxxsonics anyday (not saying "all maxxsonics is crap, blah blah", but you get what i'm saying)

may wanna take a really close look at that AQ2200 board...it will tell you EXACTLY what amp it is a copy of...

beast amp no doubt... I love AQ amps ...I just hate their weak *** overpriced subs...

Onyx is a solid line the best way i know to describe them is compare them to the similar rated bxi line...totally dif amps but similar output.

the biggest ? shouldn't be what it is a copy of ( board wise...).. the board used in the AQ2200 is a proven board...it is the components used on the board that matter...AQ uses good parts...but not premium parts ( Hifonics uses similar grade parts as the AQ) but neither use the same quality parts as sundown Arc Zapco Zed etc...so if they have similar or same boards and parts why pay more $$ ??

I own the Hifonics Brutuz BRZ2400.1

It wangs, looks great, is heavy, runs cold. Does everything I want

I ran a Hifonics Bxi12010d for a long time too and that thing got beat on hard and it still is good to go.

all day long as long as you have the PROPER electrical it will do it just fine... mine pair did it for 4 yrs at .5 daily with 0 issues...

same as any well built amp...including AQ...I have a friend that runs his AQ3500 at .4 daily b4 rise //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ..

alot of people that have used them do it..

Dang, this thread is out of control. Lol.

The new Hifonics stuff is pretty descent. CEA certified, with a very nice design. They will for sure do at least rated... Now the 05-09 stuff, give or take a year, is pretty crappy. I would take a BRZ elite or just a BRZ over an AQ for the same wattage... For the money, at least.

the bxi line had ups and downs but always did close to rated at the worst ( except the old bxi1206/08 they ******... 900 rms FTL )

but yes the new BRZ and BRE are a huge improvement. they all do rated+ well below what they are rated at voltage wise..
