Has anyone seen these speakers? Look quite legit, and the efficiency is ridiculous! Very nice concept if the quality is descent... (Sorry didn't mean to thread jack, just felt we were on the subject. Lol.)

still i have wanged the fuck out of maxxonics products and nothing has ever failed on me bottom line. all how you run the stuff no matter who makes it. electronics can fail no matter what it is in. have a bio-med electronics deg, worked on hospital equipment, consumers electronics, and communications electronics for AT&T. have seen it all

Hifonics have been more reliable than Sundowns that i have owned,i never clamped one but their great amps.

it almost always boils down to user error... ppl that run sundown typically abuse it bcuz they think it is bulletproof when it isnt...no amp is. but i am in the same shoes... I have blown 1 Hifonics ( my fault not the amps ) and have had a few doa... ( considering how many I go thru that is an infinitesimal amount btw......)

I have blown alot of other amps.. that were not my fault...

most of the time i have found if the component in any electronic fails, it will do in the first month after purchase. that is not from user error but from manufacturer

The 2011 Autotek line is pretty **** good for the price, I am running the 1600.2 and the 4000.1 to a pair of dd 1510 and I take home trophies in Rookie IASCA/USACI SQ.

The 4000.1 does a solid 1500rms at 1ohm at 12v and they share the same board builds as the MB Quart Onyx series amplifiers.

I am going to change out the 1600.2 for a 1600.4 and do a 2 way active front stage with my CDA-9855 for next year. I have the 4 channel here just need to go and do work!

we did 1 pair in a boat vs 6- 6.5... on 200 watts per they are stupid loud... lol and in IB mounting they actually have quite a bit of LOUD bass..

I'd run them far before audiojoke

but I'd go musicless before running those pos

and loud and clear is easy far away, up close is when you hear the distortion, I've never heard those speakers so no opinion.
