How are Hifonics?

the fact is that hifonics is not a great brand, they dont make the best stuff but you dont pay the highest price so who cares. as far as amps go, their subs i could care less abt although i did run a single brutus 12 on a crunch 1100 from cl (it was cheap as hell and i was aching for bass) and it really sounded great. anywaysss.....the amps do what they do so what if a 2500 watt amp does 2300 watts? the difference is nominal.

the fact is, hifonics makes low end monsters and they have a decent amp for anyones budget and anyones application. if you have the cash to do better then do it, if youre strapped for cash you cant go wrong going with a hifonics or an ap

where else can you get RELIABLE good build quality for less? and dont say AP... they may do rated but the build quality...questionable IMO...

the soundstream rub2500.1s are abt the same price as the brz2400s on ebay. and the ss trx2000 isnt much either

I tried an SS a few years ago and was impressed for it being a budget amp. Then I just did an install for a friends girl and she went with a SS evo series and I was seriously dissapointed. Now I don't know what to think of them might just be that series the rub2500.1s actually looks decent I might have to try that in the future.

however... with an actual warranty from an authorized seller that the factory will honor... ( OCS and sonic are the only 2 websites for Maxxsonics BTW --- and no one is for MBQuart regardless of what they may advertise...) the Hifonics becomes even more attractive... and they are also extendable to 3 yrs via Maxxsonics direct for the cheap!... another selling point //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Meh I've never used a warrenty once in my life...if it broke I threw it away or sold it. I care more about dependability than actually warrenty coverage. The hifonics are one of a few good choices for budget amps definately won't be making a bad decision getting one.

id go w the rubicon, better amp better name, unless a warranty means something to ya cuz most of the time warranties are just to get you to feel safe abt buying it, i never had a warranty come through for me.

everyone says maxxonics amp are shit and they blow ya da da. i have seen sundown, aq, massive,etc amps blow. most of the time anything will blow due to user error. not proper electrical, to low of a ohm, etc will damage any amp, don't care what brand. been looking at getting a aq2200, but the price is almost 500 bucks now for it. i can get the brz 2100 for around 300 that does the same power basically. hmmmm now back to beer drinking

MB Quart Q1.1500D 1500W RMS, Q-Series Monoblock Amplifier

...the pic is of a ONYX amp but, the listing is for a Q series 1.1500d. According to a Maxxsonics rep, it'll do 1700 @ 1 ohm.

Oh and the ONYX series has a better crossover section that the DSC had. Just ignore the haters.

By the way, MB Quart does NOT share the same boards as Hifonics.

Another option might be the Autotek 4000.1 it has the same board as the ONYX 1500.1
