How ironic.. I had to kick my best friend out today because I just found out he stole $100 from me and $50 from my 15 year old sister. Not to mention he bold-faced lied to my whole family about it after we gave him a place to live, ect. And as an added kick in the nuts, he spent it right in front of my face without me even knowing.

Anyways, boot him out without hesitation.

for real man, this is a no brainer. infact you must be a real nice guy to be putting up with all this crap and haven't kicked him out. He pays no rent or bills? Your parents give him a cell phone?? for ****s sake man get rid of him. if he gives you a hard time, YOU move. that way he's stuck and you can go on to another place of your own. If he askes if he can store some shit with you at your new pad say **** no! Don't give him any means to get back in your front door.

I'd say kick his *** too but you might just get yourself in trouble. not worth it. You do have to give him 30 days notice though. once you let someone live with you, even if its rent/bills free they can legally stay there. if he gets mail there then he can prove he's been living there, BUT you can take him to court for all the rent and bills he never paid. Have you talked to your uncle about the "Legalities" of it all? I'm not sure about NC state laws, but you may have to give him 30 days. Of course he's most likely not on the lease, so you may be able to give him the boot immediately.

Either way, I would definitely bring up your concerns with your uncle...

1. Have him sign some legal document saying that he'll pay a percentage of the bills. He'll most likely sign it cause he won't care and won't take it seriously.
2. When he doesn't pay (just like you knew he wouldn't), take him to small claims court and they'll make sure to take the money owed out of his paycheck.

3. He'll most likely get pissed off and get physical with you. This is when you call your Uncle next door and have him arrested. He WILL learn some respect while he's locked up.

Doesnt matter, if the person has stayed there (caliming that place as their home) for 7 days (in Florida, its different for everystate, but still short), they are considered a resident and must be evicted. I will find out for sure later today. Im sure he doesnt know this. Im sure he doesnt know about the time period he has to be given either.

dude if he is causing phone bills and not helping with rent, tell him to f*ck off. hell, i would call the cops and have him removed and put a restraining order on him.

and if he is not PAYING for rent, theres no need to try and evict him. just kick him the f*ck out.
