OP, you could try stepping up to the pioneer D series. Ive heard good things about those speakers.

Or if you can find a set, the REV's.

I listed Infinity coaxials because it seems to me as if he is on a very tight budget.

I mean, sure, you can go buy JL Evolution ZR components, and sound better than any BOXED kit. But wtf @ 800 a pair?

I say get some Kappas or keep what ya got.

As far as budget goes, around 150 per pair of 5.25's

Well, I am a noob when it comes to speakers, and I only bought the pioneers because pioneer makes decent Head units and so I figured the A series 3 way speakers would be good too. I mean don't get me wrong, they are decent, but I just want something with alot more clarity.

do you want coax or component set?

recommend stuff ive used before

for component set, look into the hertz esk130 i believe if your looking for 5.25 retail like 270$

for coax look into either ecx130(150$) or the hcx130(~200$)

both would highly benefit from an amp if you dont have one already

5 1/4 are small-ish speakers, so i dont know what your expecting form them, but for pretty much everything but bass, they sound excellent

Looking for Coaxials, I havent added an amplifier yet so the current pioneer 5.25(A series 3 way) are being powered by the Head Unit.

I was thinking of upgrading to the Pioneer Premier Ts-d502p to see if that would make a difference. But I am open to other brands/ suggestions

hertz is very strict on internet sales, you migth come across some ebay here and there, need to find local dealer, call hertz and see, if none close there are a few on here that would sell them, i think 6spcoupe sells them if you dont have a dealer, not sure
