high quality power cable - home depot?!

I can't believe you all actually wasted your time trying to dispute with someone as ignorant and simple minded as broke1.
Eat shit and die devil worshiper.

Im trying to carry on a debate w/o shit slinging.

What was the purpose of your post or your other 3k posts in the 1 year youve been a member??Start shit and show us how much of a loser you are???Another job well done for ya squeak.

I wont waste anyone else's time on this.Ive listed my reasons on why I wouldnt use it and ive given you a place where you can buy it just as cheap as welding cable.Take my advice or dont,I could care less.

And the thing about it making a difference when youre running 20-40 ft of it?Still just a VERY small difference in the grand scheme of things.

Thank god.

Yeah, one that carries the power accurately... Does that not make sense?
Considering that nothing in RLC (resistance, inductance and capacitance - the three factors that affect cable properties) really are best described by the term "accurate" - yeah, actually it doesn't make much sense //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

What would a "non-accurate" cable do to the power vs. an "accurate" one? Would it confuse the electrons? Or would the "accurate" cable give them more self-esteem?

Just trying to get a handle on the terminology.

Alright girls, you're arguing about a stupid power cable. It must be that time of the month.

Where people with six-figure incomes aren't much better...well, the spelling and grammar is vastly improved, but the ideology isn't.

It isn't about the stupid power cable.....it's about dispelling the myths and misconceptions so that those who read the thread in the future aren't taking in and applying misinformation.

So heres my 4 reasons why not to use it:
1. Looks like ***

2. Isnt made for it

3. more expensive

4. could potentially harm sensitive electronics(again,PURE SPECULATION)
i numbered them for easy reply.

1. to you it may look like ***. but the difference is a flat\solid blue, versus what? a clear looking blue with a logo printed on it that costs the extra $.75 per foot? packaging\marketing costs i see. im not willing to pay for that. and in my install, you wont be able to see the wire regardless, so looks is utterly pointless.

2. made for it? were humans made to fly to the moon? were automobiles invented to go around a track at 240mph 500 times? was nuclear power invented for a weapon? i mean come on dude. just because somthing is "said" to be meant for a certain criteria\application, does not mean that if its not used in that marketed application, its wrong or unsafe.

3. in your case? maybe welding cable is a LITTLE more expensive. big deal. for the rest of humanity, its not. so get off your high horse and accept it.

4. thats right, pure speculation. because the protective coating on "car audio" and "welding" wire is made of freaking plastic. to market the "car audio" version to be cooler, they made it all clear and cool looking. how special.

obviously guy. your "reasons" are utter bullshit, crocked out of your *** to put your PERSONAL OPPINION over facts already proven. your OPPINION is that you can get QUOTE*car audio cable*/QUOTE for cheaper than QUOTE*welding cable*/QUOTE.

as far as ghetto? if we used like four seperate strands of 8awg for a 2awg wire and taped them together, thats ghetto. or used single-strand "high amperage" wire that is extremly unflexible and all the interior panels didnt fit back on correctly.

you just are biased to your own oppinion and refuse to accept that there are practical applications for "welding cable" in car audio use.

accept it. and stop being a stubborn pile of garbage spreading misconceptions.

accurate, as in carries the current well, accurate being the power that comes out of one end is the same as the initial amount put into it.

oh hell, I give up.

Oh...now that does make sense //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Two different ways of describing the same thing. I was talking about voltage drop, but I guess you could say the cable "accurately" carries the current //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

When any of you boys get equipment or cars as nice as mine,I might try to read your posts, till then, check out my new ride that will have a $10k system in it within a few weeks:)
