hifonics problem

heres the story:

i had a bx1000d for about 10 months, then it would go into protect mode and not come out, even with just power/ground/remote connected. when that happens, the troubleshooting guide says its an internal amplifier fault.

so i sent it back to ikesound and got it replaced, and after 1 day, the new one is doing the same thing. now im without bass again and im going mad, does anyone have an idea as to what my problem is?

thanks,

Fist

yes, i have an inline fuse and its not blown.

if my amps would work, i would recommend ikesound, they were pretty quick to send me a replacement amp, and the rep was friendly to me. but since this is the second one, i really dont know.

I wonder if its that hifonics amps are junk or if ikesound sells refurbs and doesnt say so. the amp works so well when it does, and for the price it cant be beat, so im running out of ideas there.

im thinking if i try to send it back again theyll figure im just blowing them by cranking it or something, but i cranked the first one for 10 months before it went loopy, this one lasted 1 day... sigh.

try another amp in it's place. Borrow one from a friend and see if it's not in the wiring somewhere...if it's the second amp, see if you can get a credit and get another brand...just my $.02

first off, thanks to those who answered me previously.

now for an update and another round of questions...

i tried hooking up another amp to the system, and it also went into protect mode (hopefully my hifonics isnt junk afterall...). this is with no rca/speaker leads connected. i tried using a different power line and used several different ground points (all worked before and are free of paint/grime), and still i get protect mode on both amplifiers.

any ideas on what would cause two seperate amps to go to protect mode when ive tried different power wires and ground spots, as well as checking voltage at all points (fine) and having no blown fuses? im freakin stumped...

thanks in advance for your replies, i need them
