HHR Build 3-SS RL-i8's

well, this build will be kinda slow. i am waiting for my other pair of subs to come in that SVT RELAMPAGO sold me. i will build the box next week and hopefully order my new sub amp this week so it gets here on time. I am looking at either an Audiopipe AP30001, an RF 1500bd, or maybe a Soundstream TRX2000D.

They will be in about 3 cubes ported. I already have a Kenwood 7019 Double Din w/Nav, Bluetooth, RSD's up front, and a PDX2.150. Not sure if i should get the Audiopipe and have serious amount of headroom or one of the other two and sit conservitively at around 1500RMSx1@2.66 ohms.

it will be a basic box with rounded edges, flush baffle, and maybe some suede in the coming month. the following picture is photoshopped, but that is about where it sits since i lowered it 2" all around last month. it has 5% tint, Cobalt SS wheels, Billet grilles, 2-way remote start. here is the car...

yeah, i never expected what showed up. they are monsters!

Yup they are sure purrdy haha. I felt like not selling them at the end but got to save as much as i can for my house downpayment!once you play with them and you actually dont fack them up by putting 800wrms, you can sell them back to me LOL! keep me inform when they get there.

eh i dont think i will mess them up, should last me what my other systems have lasted me before i get bored with them. may be 1.5-2 years before i give these up.

Man I have been wanting some of these subs for forever!! Can't wait to see them in. Hopefully these E8s will hold me over until I can find a pair of RL-is for sale and I actually have the wattage to power them. Good luck!

btw where did you mount your mid amp?

in the spare tire well near the battery. it is small enough to conceal along the back wall.
