hey should i use thicker thicker density wood than 3/4 for the sub pannel thxfor help

its called a doubble baffle. it depends on the sub yu will be mounting, some people just like the securety of having that extra bit of wood for the screws to dig into, so they know their sub is safe. i dont really think its necessary for most subs, but if its heavy/expensive, i wouldnt risk the thinner wood, even though it would most likely be safe.

no my sub's not that heavy or expensive its my first setup though so i just wanted to be sure. its a orion p12d4 (22lbs. 500watts rms 1000peak)u dont think that would need it do u????? say i did get the thicker mdf would it be louder or no?????? thx for the help
