Hey guys, old school audiophile here...

Been a fan of hi fi car audio for 3 decades. My first system consisted of a Concord CX50 pull-out deck, Rockford Fosgate(when they were an American company) Punch 12's(free-air), Mids & tweets all around, Harmon Kardon CA260, CA240 amps, and a Fosgate XV-1 active crossover.

I now own a 2014 Ford Focus with Morel Maximo 2-way component speakers in the front doors, JL Audio C2x-650's in the rear door, an Audio Control LCQ-1 to feed the stock deck output to my Alpine MRV-M500, which feeds the dual JL Audio Dual 10W3v3 sealed enclosure subwoofers, on top of the Rockford Fosgate Punch 600x4 for the door speakers.

Anyways, I'm hoping to meet some other Focus owners...

Future plans: I want to put in a Pioneer AVIC-8200NEX, as well as replacing my Morel Maximos with Morel Virtus 603 components system, and replacing the JL Audio coaxials with some Morel Temp 602 Integra coaxials in the rear door. I'm a huge fan of hi-res audio...

some people believe they can hear quality better than 16bit 44.1khz quality sound of cd audio so they use flac and other hi def formats and placebo makes them think its better.

I've had dozens of people in my studio which can go up to 192Khz 24bit and have them try and tell the difference, but so far no one can reliably do it.

At minimum, I would like at least CD quality audio coming from my new Pioneer deck, whether or not I can tell the difference at higher levels may simply be a matter of theory and bragging rights...

there are technical reasons to record at a higher bitrate that stops certain dithering from happening. but in reality no one could blind test a 44.1/16 vs a 192/24 or 96/24 file.

Bome BIT quality differs too on CD's. I think minimum 192 to sound good. But yeah I have noticed a large margin compared to listening to reg burned CD's vs. hooking up my mp3 player. I gotta turn it up more on the mp3 player. It's retardedly ridiculous.

I assume it all might depend on your DSP and speakers...My phone has a 32-bit quad DAC as well...
