Heres a religion thread that will piss a lot of you hippies off

Perhaps you should have started this thread off with, How the hell do I stop mormons & jahovas to stop showing up at my door? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
We've been over that before.

Hardly. If you had read the thread you would know my beleifs and how open minded I am. I beleive science has a LOT to do with how God operates. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
lawl nice beliefs
i'm done with this thread religous people are too closed minded
Umm.... arent u the one shutting the door? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Christians already had an army...they killed people. Most 'Christians' arent christians at all. If you beleive your way is the only way to Heavan and all others will be banished to hell I feel sorry for you. There are christians that are so stupid to think that people who never hear the word of christ or god burn in hell with no choice. That logic is as good as the Scientologist's logic.
See second to last post, I explained this for ya. And if U think chrisyians are ppl who think that then ur obviously mistaken my friend.

Believe what jooo want to... Dayuuuum! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I quoted myself for a reason ppl...

Anyone who beleives christ was the son of god is a christian...so if that is what they beleive they are still technically christians wether they be the bastard child of christianity or not.
Actually not really. Christianity is a lot more than believing that Jesus was the son of god. Yes, thats the first step, kinda like getting through the front door. Christianity is a life style (like most religions) that not too many people follow, only because its really hard not to be hypocritical. Of course many of the people who believe in christ will live the lifestyle as they get older, and thats really all that matters in the end.

just because I believe in God doesn't mean I'm a sheep. I have my evidence that God exists and all you have to say is 'well theres been lots of time'
so what? gimme solid evidence that man evolved. dont feed me no fossil record. it's not complete, and every time theyve tried to complete it, it's been proven to be a fake. don't feed me no carbon dating. When they dug up a mammoth, the skin was thousands of years "older" than the innards. Isn't it funny that the oldest living organism, a tree, is 4,000 years old, the same length of time it's been since the flood? Can you tell me why in order to form the Grand Canyon, the Colorado river would have had to flow uphill?

Sorry but I had to point out a few holes in the theory that Earth is 4.6 billion years old.

Sorry, I was going to leave this thread alone after my last post.....but I just couldn't resist after reading that post.

All I have to say about that website is;

Buwahahahahahahaha

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hilarious.gif.02a037aad04aa96f19982b298a3d70a8.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hilarious.gif.02a037aad04aa96f19982b298a3d70a8.gif

Buwahahahahahahaha

I don't have a problem with someone's belief in "god". I don't have a problem with their beliefs as it pertains to afterlife. The type of things for which no amount of scientific evidence can ever, completely, disprove.

But I find beliefs that directly contradict all of the solid scientific evidence to be nothing but laughable.

Our understanding of all things within the cosmos isn't complete. This is common knowledge.....anyone would be foolish to suggest otherwise. But the areas which we don't fully understand yet are not proof that our entire understanding is incorrect. And it certainly doesn't prove the existance of an omnipotent, omnipresent being.

(the above paragraph isn't directly commenting your so called "proof" (LOL)...but rather a general statement)

I think if you actually studied what we truly know, as compared to radical evangelical propoganda, you would be quite amazed.

And likewise....I don't expect, or even want, you to abandon your belief in god. There are many scientists, genius scientists, who believe in [the standard defintion] of "god". I just hate to see people believing in utter misinformation.......

With that....I'm out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

there is no point in arguing with religious people anyway. for the most part they are too closed minded...
without letting my viewpoint on the subject out. I honestly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif at that..

Closed minded are the people who can't accept that the world is ran by something they don't have any control over. "theres no equation that equals god, therefore he doesn't exist"

well if our understanding is still not complete, how can you completely disprove the existence of an omnipotent creation //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

You read the statement incorrectly.

I didn't say our understanding of science disproved a being such as god.

I said the "gaps" in our understanding doesn't prove there is a being such as god.

i.e. comments such as "you have yet to find 'the missing link', hence god must exist" is an incorrect assumption.

whoever posted that drdino site and actually looks at shit like that is a total douchebag...

Theres so much funny shit on that site i dont know where to begin to laugh, but for the most part this is the funniest thing so far, quoted directly from the site..

"God created the heaven and the earth...God created the stars also. Learn all about God's amazing creation on the larger-scale. "

So much for the big bang theory...

well i wasn't making that assumption at all, just stating that 'scientifically' god can neither be proven or disproven //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. so maybe you misunderstood my 'assumption'.

but theres a bigger picture to this. anyone ever heard of faith? it seems like our generation has to "prove" everything. do you honestly think everything in the bible was a mistake? its all make believe? i believe once you have felt the holy spirit, all these little arguments go out the window. i know what i've felt, and no scientific equation can prove that wrong. plus i'd rather live a life believing something wholeheartedly than to just 'go with the flow.' there was a quote i read couple months ago from a fortune cookie that stuck with me: "to believe is to be strong, to disbelieve is to be weak."

just my .02
