does the bold statement not hold true to what friends are for as well? I have the best friends in the world, was happy as I could be in orlando now that I look back at it, I had no religious beliefs at all there, never was "down". I just dont see peope running to church as making it rock solid. The rise in religious action, is because the general public wants a quick fix to things that arent what they normally are.
I never denied that this was easily a possibility. I never narrow my mind to one tract like this. it was a general statement. Of course my friends are generally constant. The point is that the Bible has lasted all of time, something you and I will not do. The 'constant' comparison was based on the fact that you can go and find a Bible or church anywhere. Your friends are not everywhere as a religion can be. Of course phones, internet, etc.. have made it easier to use friends as a constant. My argument for this is if you piss off your friend, he can turn his back on you, whereas the TRUE religion should NEVER turn it's back on you regardless. people who scoff at you for your looks, are not following the religion correctly.
How is religion supposed to quick fix? it is just a belief. It has no properties to repair, physical things. The Word and the church are a safe haven. That is what I have only seen it as. it is no more than a place to congregate with fellow believers and to get away from the troubles of your life/world.
You are correct. Many are now raised blindly on religion, even if the teachers are not exactly going for that effect. It's impossible to allow for someone you love to learn for their own if you are trying to protect them from society's evils, and bring them up in the Chrisitan faith. Ignorance from a protected life does not have to be religion, it can be on any subject //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
As for the organized religion being cracked up. Thoroughly agree. I do not like these large televised preachers in their 5,000 plus congregation, I believe that these guys are to absorbed in their large church size and large funds.
Speaking of funds. Church + state = bad. See Roman empire and Catholic church. That should explain alot. Anyways, those funds should not have come from the state, because you are right, these funds could have gone into hospitals, disease research, etc.... Separating church and state is wisest, regardless of the fact that this nation was founded on religious beliefs.
And, please do not do the same that those uptight high nosed 'religious' people did to you, it isn't the right thing to do as an adult. 'you' non-believers....doesn't sound good does it? No. I would never use that, as it sounds deragatory to thise sensitive to it. I wish not to be a 'you' even though I am of the same religion. I would never hold my nose high against you. I do not wish to have you think i would, because regardless of whther or not you will believe me, I can understand you. WITHOUT talking down on you. That is what someone in a religion is supposed to do or strive for. Understanding.
No, it never has been said to have a requirement. It's easy to understand why. What happens to natives in Africa who are ***** but show an interest in Christianity. No rule is being bent here. Never does it say in the Bible you need a suit to pray, or that you have to kneel to do so.
And you must realize, the religion is separate from the individual. The religion did not turn his nose up at you, the individual who is supposed to be representing it did. He was not correct in what he did, and was a bad example of the religion. Plain and simple, it says in the Bible to be the Salt and the Light to the world, they were not. I'm sorry that that is the crap you grew up with. I grew up with a better religious environment, and am grateful for it. You were not as fortunate, and I do not blame you for your malice towards the religion. It's ashame those tards down their could not stop puffing their chests out to realize they were pushing more away out of personal interests, rather than being there for the religion as it is supposed to be. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
