Help with wiring new Pioneer TS-WX1010A Sub amp combo

Hey Folks!
So I recent picked up this Pioneer sub that comes in an enclosure with and amp. I know these combo units are usually to be avoided, but super tight budget and the price was great (in CAD). Im planning to install this and a new deck on Tuesday, so I was just planning out the install after opening it up and I am a little confused how to connect the power to this sub/amp. So all of the connections to the enclosure are through the wire harness they include (see below). You may notice as I did after picking up my 8 gauge wiring kit, that the power and ground wire on this harness are MUCH smaller than the 8 gauge wire I will run from my battery (also see below). I'm just wondering if I can connect these up using a normal twist wire connector despite the size differences between the two being so great? With that, is there any danger in doing so?

Looks like the harness suggests it doesn't need anything bigger to run the sub and amp. But, you should be fine to connect the two together. Normally it's more of a danger to do it if the wire you are adding onto is smaller.

Make sure to fuse the power wire as well
