i have a 1100d mono amp and two 10" subs. Someone said to only use one set of the + and - 's and to wire the subs parallel at 1 ohm even though they are dual 4 ohm v.c.s im not too sure how to do this? How should I run my wires exactly from my subs to my amp?

so just run a wire from the + to the - on each sub, then another set of wires one from the + and one from the - to the amp?

in the first diagram i see one sub is wired from side to side and then the other wires go into the second subs wires? how do you do that? just splice it in the other subs wires that are going to the amp?

Most DVC type subs will have 2 connections on each terminal, so you can attach 2 spade terminals to each + or - terminal. I would avoid splicing anything if you can. Some subs have binding posts instead of spade terminals, which is much nicer and easier to work with.
