help with sub

as yall may know i got my 15 k yesterday, and as i started to break it in, i hear a rattling noise, i checked the box and that aint it, so what could it be i hear it might be the tinsel threads or something like that, that are slapping, what exactly is that?? are those the metal things that come from the speaker wire terminal that goes to the base of the cone???

you my friend are likely experiencing tinsel lead slap..

try CAREFULLY bending the terminals away...

do u mean the little wire or the terminal itself

well i would do that but i dont wanna break it off, well it dont look like the wire could even touch the cone, b/c its got that lil cloth pad there, but its still got that rattle noise coming from the sub, not the box

taht is most likely it...

i know mine still slaps, (well, free air anywyas) even with teh cloth....

I emailed ED on Sunday morning with a few questions

and still have not got a reply from them.
