Help with setup (noob)

Haha.

Ok, thanks guys.

I'll get that setup that you recommended deja.

Is there one site that I can order from or do I have to order from different sites?

The thing is, I need it to arrive before the 22nd (my flight) so I'd prefer having it all come in one package.

Anyways, I think I might get the DEH-P790BT since the 980BT apparently does not come with an Ipod adaptor.(bought seperatly, how dumb for a new unit?)

millionbuy.com actually is a little cheaper for the Pioneer, since they have free shipping.

But anyway, no I don't think you'll be able to buy everything from one place. But most of these places ship pretty fast, so hopefully everything will arrive well before the 22nd.

Thanks for all the support and help.

I will be placing my order tonight.

I'm still having trouble deciding if I should order the rear Pioneer rev speakers even though not recommended. Just the thought of disconnecting the rear speakers makes me think of how the sound will be heard while sitting in the back(my car is a 2-door SUV, short).

So basically the wiring is:

From the amp; ch1 and ch2 to both component speakers, ch3 and ch4 bridged to sub.

Sounds simple enough.

What about the tweeters by the way? I'm assuming that they come with the Phoenix's? By the way, do they get wired from the 2ch of the components or the HU?

My next step will be docking the PSP above the HU and connecting it to AUX for movie/music play and hopefully gps(in the near future) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

If you really want rear fill then get the rear speakers. Though imo it will sound better in the front without rear fill, better in the back with rear fill. But like the other posters said, try it without rear fill for a while and add it later if you want.

Yes the PG's come with tweeters. The PG woofers and tweeters get wired to the crossover (also included) and the crossover gets wired to your amp (channels 1 and 2).

1. I recommend to save your money and not get rear speakers right now. Try it with no rears for a while, then with the factory rears hooked up, and if you still need more rear fill, then get the REVs.

2. Correct.

3. Yep, tweeters come with the RSd65cs set. The comps will be wired like so: Amp OUT (channels 1 and 2) -> RSd passive crossovers IN, RSd passive xover OUT -> each mid and tweeter......one input to each crossover, 2 outputs from each crossover.

Thank you again.

Everything is clear now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Hey man, just to reassure you on the rear fill. I spent $$$ on rear components and now I dont even use them. I changed the settings on my head unit so all the sound is upfront and bass in the back. Everybodys opinion is different but most likely if you added rear fill you wouldnt even notice a whole lot.

I'll let you all know how it sounds once it arrives:greedy:

Probably in a few weeks or so.

JLJ, I could see how that works for you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. I was just kind of worried because my car has more area inside(SUV). But I'm pretty convinced. Worse comes to worse, I'll just order the 6x9 revs like Deja recommended.

Hey guys

My entire set has arrived on time two days ago and was installed yesterday.

And I must say.....W-O-W! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

The sound is as perfect! It's as clear as water! No disturbances or noises what so ever! It sounds amazing when its loud! Usually when I hear loud in other cars, the sound is sometimes choppy a bit or kind of fuzzy. Not here though!! It's perfect, music to my ears //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thank you all for recommending the right set up. I'm extremly satisfied.

By the way you were right about ditching the rear fill, I hella don't need it.

Yes it's amazinggggggggg!

Thanks once again!

I don't even need to play around with the equalizer or any of those things.

Sounds perfect as it is.
