Well I temporarily installed my rescently acquired coustic xm-7 crossover to try it out on my AA poly mids and my Vifa tweets. But I am getting this hissing and slight beeping coming from my mids and tweets. It is kind of high pitched sort of like alternator whine but it is there even with the car off. Here is how it is wired.
Kenwood kvt-911dvd > Audiocontrol epic-160 > Coustic Xm-7 > Memphis 300-4
I have tried bypassing the xm-7 and sure enough the noise is gone.
I have bypassed both epic-160 and the xm-7 and went straight from HU to the amp and sure enough noise is gone.
I have bypassed the epic-160. Went from HU to the xm-7 and noise is still there.
I am getting power from my amp for the coustic. I have moved the ground for the coustic and i does nothing. Any ideas?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
