Help with a s-10 box in the bed

Friend of mine wants to do 2 subs in the bed ported through into the cab. I dont know anything about these, i always have had sealed in a trunk. Anyone have ideas or done this? Recommendations on a box, subs and amp would be a ton of help. trying not to break the bank. Thanks
