HELP! Wiring Dual 2ohm Subwoofer

I have 2 12" soundstream t-5's and I had them wired at 2 ohms. I took them out of the box and reviewed my wiring then wired them to .5ohms but was cautious to find that my amp wasnt .5ohm stable and i would mess up my amp most likely. So is it possible to wire my 2ohm subs in a series or parallel to 1 channel at 1ohm?

Yea that is how I had it before but i was trying to lower my resistance so i could get more wattage because I am not getting enough...im like 400 short on rms wattage for my subs on the rms of my amp. So right now at 2ohms i have 1200rms and I need 1800rms so i thought i could lower it. Would it be possible to wire my subs seperatly at 1ohm then put 2 positive wires and 2 negative wires on the same speaker terminal on my amp?

Or not lol! But i just need some way that I can get more power without buying another amp because i am pressed for money at the time! If i could get 1ohm to these subs without explosions or anything I could have some amazing sound coming from my cargo area!

Nevermind...at the age of 18 i am now half-way deaf! Instead of taking 1 out of the setup or leaving it at 2 ohms, I didn't wire one of the voice coils and wired the 2 subs to the same terminal and it is Fvcking loud!!

Your only running one coil on each sub?? Some people say its ok but i wouldnt recommend that or would i ever do that myself..

Your going to ruin those subs. You should NEVER only run 1 coil of a dvc.You should have thought about this when you bought the shit.

Why do people insist on running below the rated power. You can't just drop every amp down to what ever works best for you.

Buy new subs or get a new amp.Since you will have to do that anyway running them like you are!

Your only gonna be able to put them into a 2 ohm load or a .5ohm load and I don't recomend .5ohms because most amps can't handle that. 1 ohm isn't looking possible for ya unless you got D1's
