HELP! Wiring Dual 2ohm Subwoofer

Everyone tells you you can't do what you want with what you got and you didn't listen to them.

I'm just telling you your shit will be clanking and cracking if you only run 1 coil on a dvc sub.So do yourself a favor and just run it at 2 ohms or get different speakers.

Take it however you want. You ask a question we responded.Did you take anyones advice??

Just because its free doesn't mean you have to abuse it.What will you do when you need new subs?

No...it will only be clanking and cracking if it was to be given way to much power. Wiring only 1 coil of a dvc subwoofer cuts the power in half! If I am short of rms power originally, and now it is cut in half....then I will be running a little over rms rated power on the 1 coil. The reason people break these is the difference in power not being noticed until the subwoofer is broken! Not trying to be an *** about this just going on things I have learned from many people like yourself. I appreciate the help and I will take all of it into consideration but in no way ,that is known to anyone that I have contacted, can running only 1 coil on a dvc with the correct wattage be harmful.

You are not magically cutting power in half. Running each sub on one VC will not hurt the subs, but seeing as you are now running them @ 1 ohm, you WILL be overpowering the voice coils quite a bit, given the information you provided.

Audio was the only one who gave you the correct answer. Buy a different amp or different subs.

I am sorry to tell you but you are sadly mis-informed!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
