Really in need of some advice here, would really appreciate it.

So I've bought a 3 way component speaker system.
The speakers will actually be going into walls of one the rooms at home. I have already done this with another room but the crossovers that have come with the speakers due to them being 3 way component speakers have got me quite confused.

The following inputs are layed out on the crossover.

IN (+) (-)
(-) with no label.
HF (+)
IF (+)
LF (+)

Would i connect the speakers in the following manner.
Subwoofer positive to LF
Mid Speaker Positive to IF
Tweeter Positive to HF
Then all three negative wires from speakers together to (-) that is on its own.

Also I have bought a 6 channel amplifier, Im guessing with this speaker kit I only required 2 channels due to the crossovers?

And finally the speakers have come with really thin speaker wires. Wouldn't the subwoofers require somewhere around 16 gauge wires?
Have very little experience in this so thanks in advance guys.

You are correct. HF= high pass filter, IF= intermediate pass filter, LF= low pass filter. Negative is for all 3 speakers. If a heavier gauge is what you want then do it. Nothing beats peace of mind.

Really appreciate the reply man, the speakers have gone in wall and wired up. Just waiting on the TV to be delivered now. Will attach picture once complete.

Help!!
Everything was working perfect but my old man decided to do some safety checks with a mains tester screwdriver just incase if my youngest crawled upto the amp and touched anything. He shorted something in the process and the two external fuses were blown. I've changed them and the lights came back on but there is no sound. Hooked the speakers upto a old amp I had and sound works so speakers are fine.

Would appreciate if anyone could guide me to fixing this.

Thanks
