Help T40001bd problem

On my hk4000d the remote lead from the head unit wasnt enough to keep the amp on, i had to hook it up direct to the HC2400s in the rear, then it worked fine, but my hk4000d would do the same thing, and that was brand new, and it didnt make any since to me, so i tried hooking the remote straight to batt and it worked!!

I put a wire from remote to positive and same thing happened. Turns on right into protect. Ground seems to be fine but when I tugged on it a bit, there was a little spark. The 500amp fuse is still good so nothing should have gone wrong there. I tried opening the amp but once I take all the screws off of it I pry and nothing opens and I dont want to break it. There are no speakers connected so there is no issue with ohm load. It simply will not turn on without being in protect mode.

I guess my next step would be to have someone look at it. Is there anyone in wisconsin that could do it. I talked to LAX916 who I bought it from and he said it worked for him. It clearly doesnt work for me so he said he could file a UPS claim but we all know how those work out. Worse comes to worse would you guys recommend DB-r.com or what?

I know SSaudio1 had the T30001bd and he took the case off of his to take pics of the board, maybe consult him and he can give you some pointers on taking the casing off..

In any case, I wouldn't hesitate to send a blown amp to dB-r, as all I've heard are great reviews..

You could send the amp to me and I'd get it looked at for you. I know some good guys around here that fix my amps. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I could even get you a quote on it.
