Help T40001bd problem

I have spent all week on this install get everything just the way I want it. Well I am heading back to school tommorrow morning and I really want this thing working.

When I turned the car one the car immediatly goes into protect.

Heres the situation I have the T40001bd hooked up to 5 batteries.

I grounded the batteries with 4/0 awg and have the amp grounded to the batts. I put the DMM on and was getting 13.5v at idle so that shouldnt be an issue. I'm hoping this isnt an issue with the amp because as far as I could see everything with it was fine. Im guessing its either a ground or remote but I know I have that hooked up right. also my buddy helping me said it smelled almost like primer when we first started the car but it could have been the exahust i didnt smell it

Try the remote wire from + terminal on the amp, like a jumper of sorts.

un-plug everything, then plug everything back up.. make sure your ground it good and tight.

remote wire works, otherwise amp shouldnt turn on at all I would presume. the amp turns on but is immediatly in protect

Unplug the dedicated remote wire, find a piece of short wire, connect the wire from the remote terminal and the positive terminal and see if the amp works.. it's just a small step in the process of elimination.

It starts the amp and the amp goes right into protect

The only other thing I can think of is bad ground.. but you said it was good.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif If it were me, I would open it up and check the board for anything out of the ordinary.

Dam, I hope it aint ur amp man. I wish I could help, im stumped. All of the above sounds right for diagnostics.
