HELP! System won't turn on??

Ok so i got a simple system from my buddy. Its a MDS 1200 watt amp, and a 10" Infinity sub. I hooked my wires up to the deck, and my power and ground cables up. Then i hooked my sub to the amp, but nothing! My amp doesnt even look to be on! The led does'nt come on to signal its getting power. Could the amp be blown?

Did you hook up the remote wire?

Check fuses?

yeah remote was hooked up, fuse was good. And i know there was power cuz i tested it with my voltage meter

By "fuse good", which fuse do you mean? The one in your power cable or the fuse(s) on the amp?

...maybe bad ground?

is there an internal fuse within the amp that may have blown? what about a pinched remote lead.

the two amp fses were good, as well as the power cable fuse

take a smidge of wire and run it from your power to remote wire. If it turns on, its your remote wire.

When you tested with the meter, what two points did you test, and what did the meter read?
