Help subs not pounding

I have two alpine type r 12's 1221d hooked up to a crunch powerone amp 2000watts at 2 ohms and I have the subs wired in series parallel and they are not pounding at all jus simple bumps

1.) Make sure your amp setting ( gain,frequenty,ect) are set correctly. In this case your gain.

2.) Check your wiring, make sure everything is correct. All the positives lead to a negative.

3.) It may be the box. Very doubtful though.

sorry to tell ya ,but that power zone amp is a pos ,you might if your lucky get 500 rms ,and if your using a prefab box ,get rid of it and build one

Which powerzone do you have? If it is the blue light version they are not that horrible,they are a budget amp and won't perform like other brands. However, they do ok in their own right.

I would bet you have a wiring, setting, and/or enclosure issue.

If it sounded one way before and now it doesn't then there could be a few reasons why.

1. Needs settings adjusted

2. You were actually clipping the signal before with higher settings so they were adjusted lower to give you less distortion thus allowing the system to live longer

3. They could have messed with the wiring perhaps and that may need to be corrected.

I adjusted my friends gains for him and he felt it used to bump a little more before that, the way I set them the sub was on the verge of over excursion but relatively safe at full tilt. Some people like distortion and blowing up subs. Obviously if after the shop tuned it it got lower, there's your problem.

He means, that the likely issue here is this....

You had your amp and/or other settings maxed or set to high thus putting the system in a situation where damage was likely going to occur. So when the "shop" adjusted your settings that played it safe and now it does not sound as loud to you.

The other option of course is that the shop may have adjusted things to a very very safe level or perhaps they had no idea what they were doing...However, the first idea is far more logical.
