Help on Memphis Belle wiring

So I finally got around to getting my new equipment installed, but I'm having some confusion with the amp... Memphis Belle 16-MC1300d (the chrome one)

Head unit is Sony XAV-A1 screen... wiring is as follows:

--Front HU preouts: single set of RCA's, left channel is split to channel A on the amp, and right channel is split to channel B on the amp

-- Rear HU preouts: none

-- Sub HU preout: single set of RCA's, combined at the amp for the mono sub input

-- Each channel on the amp is bridged and set for 150w per channel to a set of Crystal SSCS6

-- Sub channel is set for 1000w @ 1 ohm to (4) eD 9Kv.3's

Everything gets wired up, and I turn on the car. Wait for the bass to hit, and only hear the comps. Hmm... so I open the trunk, and nothing. Unhook the RCA from the sub channel at the amp, and voila, bass. Hook the RCA back in, and no bass.

HPF for the comps are set to ~100Hz at the amp, and LPF for the sub is at about 80Hz at the amp. SSF is turned off, filter selector is set to HPF.

I confirmed that the RCA's are hooked up to the correct inputs at the amp and outputs at the HU...

I'm lost... any ideas?

Got the subs wired to the right outputs???

Maybe something messed up with the X-over settings??

If you can't figure it out, I'll take it off your hands.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Everything's wired right, triple checked everything.

The Sony HU has no xovers, so I'm limited to what's on the amp

don't they have the mono inputs for the sub channel ? Are you using the right box to convert the stereo -- mono channel ?
I'm using a standard RCA set with a 2 female-1 male converter at the amp to hook into the RCA mono channel

could just be that the Sub out is turned off?

No setting to turn it on or off... the Sony is REALLY limited on options... but at least the screen is beautiful //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I never had anything hooked into that sub output, I only had the two sets of rca's going in. I had it hooked up to my comps and rear deck. I never figured out how to get that sub output to work and I then noticed that I didn't need it to have sub the hit.

I don't think you can just use that two female one male converter you have to use that box.
I almost garuntee thats the problem.
X2. I sold him the amp, and I am not a shady dealer. I had two sets of RCA's running to the LEFT/RIGHT channels and it worked flawlessly. I never had anything hooked into that sub mono output as I was told that you HAD to have the little box for it.

Your H/U needs to have two sets of RCA's pre-outs as I told you b4 you bought it from me. Otherwise, if I were you I would use a LOC to get the second set of RCA's to put into the second RCA input.
