Uhh...your amp is for car audio, which is 12V. Home audio amplifiers are made for a 120Vac outlet.
There are power supplies you can buy though that you plug into the wall, and can be set to 12 or 14 V or whatever, but I'm not sure if you'd want to be playing daily off that. I'd only use them to test an amp personally.
Sure it is.. if it works & such, it's a life long keep. Worth spending tha money, IMO.
IIRC, most high wattage home amplifiers = lots o' money. I'd rather spend a little bit of dough on a power supply, one time.. vs. maybe a couple of HT amplifiers..
radioshack has some power inverters that convert 120v AC to 12/14v DC....
the price you pay for should be more along of the lines of how much amperage the inverter has... and you obviously need enough amps to power the amp with the amps efficiency and power draw in mind...
The power supply will be more than a home audio amp with considerably more power than an amp the power supply could support. A basic home amp is cheap and gives you preamp functions like volume control and input selection and a tuner. You can get a basic home receiver for $100. A 10A power supply will cost about 50% more.
can be done i did one set up on a tri cycle. battery ground to the bike amp and sub and speakers. or u can use a power inverter and lug a house amp and itll woork.
That's great until you have to charge the battery. You'd also better have a sealed battery of some type because lead acid battery fumes will ruin your day.
or you could find a newer atx computer power supply. most of the newer power supply will pump out 35+amps on the 12v rails , just clip off the connectors run power and ground. somehting like this one will give you 30amps @ 12 v not bad for 50$
