then the filter mode is lp or hp i have it on lp at 80hz?

infrasonic filter mode i have it on since its a ported box is that right?

infransonic filter hz 40-200?

then q-

center-

boost-

bass eq on or off?

then amp lp filter is

mode slope -off 12 or 24

and the filter freq 40-200?

imput voltage low or high i have it on high

and the gain i need to get a dmm and set it i have it at half way now

and the output polarity normal or reversed??

if anyone can help me out with these settings ill be very greatful thanks so much

another thread? do you even have another amp feeding off the preamp outputs? if not, then it does not matter what you put those settings on because they are not doing anything for that amp at all. i already told you what to do with the rwsto of the settings, and the infrasonic, should be up to 30hz, typically, unless it is referring to the hpf setting. what is the tuning of your box?

Hey man I know you want someone to just give you "the answer" but the fact is that each car and each system needs different settings.

I just took a few mins reading through the owners manual via the link I sent you and JL tells you what you have to do step by step they even give a few hints about what type cars work beter with different settings.

Such as they say that a hatchback normally does better with a 24 db slope vs a 12 db slope which works better in a trunk.

Seriously I do not think you read through the manual cause if you did you would have your car setup already.

JL really explains each control very simply. Perhaps you should print it out it might be easier to understand vs reading it on the computer.

Read the manual, set your car up correctly, and you will know how to adjust most any other system you get down the road.

There is a list of steps in the manual.

If you tell what you don't understand, maybe we can clarify.

Maybe try posting the step as JL printed it, and the question you have next to said step.

If you are using RCA's from your headunit then you want the INPUT VOLTAGE set to LOW (def not high!)

Bro if you really are this confused perhaps you should pay a local shop to do it for you.

To me and most guys on this board, all those settings are SUPER EASY to understand, however if I asked my Girlfriend to go out and adjust my amps she would most likely be as confused as you seem to be. Now I am not calling you a girl, I was just using my GF as an example cause none of the settings would make any sense to her either.

Low Pass - set to 80

Sub Sonic Filter - set to 30

Gain - set 1/2 way (totally guessing here but I have had 2 of those amps before)

Bass Boost - turn to OFF

Input Voltage - Set to LOW

Slope - set to 24

The above settings should get you close.
