Help Me Setup/Tune my AudioControl Linedriver

I recently installed an Audiocontrol Matrix line driver in the glovebox of my car...

Ive been fidling around with it quite a bit now and dont think Im getting the best I can out of it.

how high should I really crank the gains on it? I know the lights are there to help with the voltage, but then how high should I turn the volume on my deck? Should I really turn the gains on the amp all the way down like the manual says?

Im runing Alpine 9813, Kicker 600.4, and Tsunami 1100db, what are you inputs?

Im also wondering is the sub output on my alpine faulty? Even when cranked fully up its weaker than the Front and Rear outputs are when I hook them up to my sub amp, also I think they sound a little better too. But if I hook the sub up to the rear then I cant play around with the xovers *** the rear is High pass only right?
