I swear I posted another thread here but as far as I can tell it doesn't exist...
I recently got an 07 mustang and I need to get some ungraded sound in it.
1) For the headunit i'm probably going to move over the pioneer p5200 from my 98 mustang unless anyone has any objections or reason why i shouldn't do this?
2) I had pioneer 4 way 6x8s in my last car, I was thinking i'd like to do a step up from this and was thinking about doing some component speakers. What are some of the best for the buck brands for components? I was looking at some kicker 6x8s.
In another thread it was suggested I could put 6.5's, and on crutchfield.com it comes up with 6.5s and 6.75s and says i would need a speaker enclourse which they have but i dont find anywhere on their website. can I really put 6.5s and 6.75s in there and what do I do about the extra space? What would be suggested in this situation? There aren't that many 6x8s out there to choose from.
3) From what I understand component speakers pretty much need to be amplified? What are the decent bang for the buck 4 channel amps? or what should I be looking for in a amp besides a four channel one?
4) subs and amp for that... pretty much the same theme here, not looking for the best of the best, but whats going to give me pretty good performance for my money. I'm thinking 2 10"s would be best but not sure on brands and such. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
