A 13 might be a tight fit under a seat. Check out the specs on the JL site to see what kind of space you need. Then measure the space you have and go to work. Using fiberglass may make it easier to fit it under there.

I found this box... scroll to the very bottom in the left column. Fits behind seats http://www.subthump.com/silverado.htm Or they have the dual 10" box that fires down and sits under the seat. I just figured firing out would sound better than firing down.

The JL 10w1v2 mount depth is 4.54" and the boxes total mount depth is 5.25". Is that enough room? The box is pretty mcuh the perfect size, but the mounting depth is not as deep as I would like. Is 3/4" enough from the magnet to the back wall of the box?

OK... now I think I am going a whole nother direction.

For behind my rear seat...

Here are the dimensions I came up with.

12" = height

48" = length

6.5" = bottom depth

5" = top depth

Can someone please show me how to work out the formula to come up with my cubic footage of the box! I am trying to learn this stuff. If space permits I might end up with 4 - 8" subs back there.

Add the top and bottom width then divide by two. Once you have that figure use LxWxD and divide by 1728 to calculate cubic feet.

Man I feel like an idiot, but so I am clear on this will you please just work it out using the numbers? And how do I convert my final number into cubic ft?

Just google a volume calulator and plug your numbers in. What size wood are you going to use. If 3/4 inch it comes out to about 1.2 Cu Ft.
