Help Installing Amp in a 2001 sebring lxi coupe

I have a 2001 sebring lxi coupe. i have a pioneer head unit and a amp running my subs and a amp running my highs. problem is the the amp running the highs has no sound at all. i have heard that you have to bypass the factory amp in order for it to work, but where is the factory amp located and how do you bypass it.

you could just run new runs of wire to the new speakers.. that might be more cost effective.
