Help installing a 4 channel amp in a boat

This might be new to some but I figure someone might have an answer. I'm not new to audio installs. I have built custom boxes and wired many decks and speakers, but in this case I need to know the best way to wire a 4 channel amp when there's only one rca preout on the head unit. There will not be a sub installed, so the speakers will used in full range. Is there a better way than using Y splitters on the preout?

You could use an equalizer which would give you better performance than a splitter. But all in all I would just go with a splitter, should be good. Unless your looking for perfect Sq..

how about a 4 channel amp that has a 2ch and 4 ch input mode?

High level input is also an acceptable choice. You would need two y splitters.

does the amp have a line out rca?

Just put splitters on the RCA outputs.
