Ok,
Here is my set up. Please tell me how you would wire it up. I don't want to tell what we did yet. Here goes.
6.5 components up front, 5 channel amp and sub. The amp is all powered up, the only problem we are having is the speaker wire set up.
The HU has RCAs for the fronts and sub. I want to bridge the fronts to give them more power. From the front, the HU has RCAs labeled for Front, back and non-fading. So I have a set of RCA's for the front and one set for the sub, the rears are left unused.
There are seperate speaker wires for each tweeter and each mid range. The two seperate crossovers are in the trunk. So there are inputs and outputs for the speaker wires. IE +/- for tweeter and +/- woofer input and the same for the outputs( per side of course). Now my question is how to connect that set up to the amp. How do i bridge that? The amp has connections for 1/2 , 3/4 and sub. IE 1 has a +/-, 2 has the +/- 3 has +/- and 4 has +/- , then the sub +/-.
Here's one more thing. The cross over's internal fuse glows to the breaking point when we put the RCA's on. Need help trouble shooting that too.
Here's another, for the RCA's. Obviously the RCA for the sub goes directly to labeled sub RCA on the amp. Where does the +/- for the fronts go? Reminder, there is Front +/- and Rear +/-.
Thanks for your help trouble shooting.
For somereason, the way we are wiring it up, the front midranges give hardly any bass????
